Walleye fishing

Walleye fishing is great starting in June. This past year the walleye where biting like crazy. it was not uncommon to catch 50 walleye a night, even though they where in the 12" to 16" range it sure was a lot of fun. Check out more information at www.whitebirchresort.net

Fishing Report in Minnesota

BLACKDUCK LAKE
Blackduck lake still has ice on it but Thursday at noon we had a east wind and it finally broke loose from shore. It is moving around allot now with the part of the lake in front of our resort is open at this time, but I am sure it will come back. You can see big ice heaves on the other side of shore, maybe it will take some of the reeds with it. As far getting the dock in, the plan is to get it in next Wednesday if all goes as scheduled. Fishing opener might be a little slow this year because of the late ice since the water is so cold. The Blackduck River is flowing now and there where a few suckers swimming up stream but no walleye yet. Visit www.whitebirchresort for more information.
